Public meeting on refugees, 7.30pm, 27 May 2016, Friends House, Sutton.

Sutton for Peace and Justice in association with Refugee and Migrant Network Sutton is staging a meeting to highlight how and why we should ensure refugees receive a welcome on Sutton.

The meeting, featuring local and national speakers with practical knowledge and experience, will consider what makes people become refugees and the challenges they face, and practical ways we can make them feel welcome locally.

The meeting will form part of a campaign to establish Sutton as a ‘City of Sanctuary’.
