Lobbying Bill ‘on hold’

The campaign against the Lobbying Bill seems to be having some effect.

In the face of an ever-growing campaign the government announced a six-week delay and promise further “consultation”.

As reported in the Independent on 6 November, the Government has put the most controversial part of its Lobbying Bill on hold in an attempt to head off an embarrassing defeat in the House of Lords, where peers were threatening to delay the Bill for three months.
