Deepavali celebration 12 November

Sutton for Peace and Justice with Child Aid Lanka and Sutton Elders Circle are staging a celebration of Deepavali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, in association with the Sutton Tamil School.

The event will take place on Saturday 12 November 2011, at Greenshaw High School, Grennell Road, Sutton, SM1 3DY. Doors open 6.30 pm, programme runs 6.45–8.45.

Sri Lankan supper will be served and there will be performances of traditional music and dance.

Tickets are £10 per head (children under 16 £5.00).

Funds raised will be devoted to helping underprivileged
children in Sri Lanka to establish independent lives, through Child Aid Lanka, http://www.childaidlanka.org.uk, registered charity.
